With the IPI’s Annual Conference and Expo right around the corner, here at The Marlyn Group we’ve already started to plan the best ways to take full advantage of all that IPI has to offer in terms of catching up with our colleagues, connecting with new peers and learning all key take-aways through the comprehensive educational tracks.

Speaking of which: as we’ve done in past shows, we will once again be offering our booth visitors a robust white paper on relevant parking topics that any parking executive can apply internally when it comes to attracting and retaining talent – the one constant dynamic to any organization that wants to ensure continued customer satisfaction, remain competitive in the marketplace and guarantee success company wide.

For this event, we are going to focus in on the City Ambassador (formerly known as the Enforcement Patroller) role; specifically best practices related to marketing to draw the best applicant profile, a robust interview process so the hiring manager can objectively evaluate the candidate while the recruit himself is learning about life on the job through a very realistic lens. Once the City Ambassador has been hired, we’ll give both insight and practical tips on how to best lead this line of employee with training, of course, and other strategic levers your organization can pull: policy, procedure, communications and direct leader’s involvement. This holistic approach toward supporting the City Ambassador will assist any hiring manager’s recruitment and retention needs and ultimately how the organization itself serves their parkers, both on and off street.

Any whitepaper can offer free advice, and with this recognition, our easy to use resource will include key performance indicators when it comes to measuring, both quantitatively and qualitatively, recruitment, hiring and retention efforts so that the organization can use it to set internal benchmarks, track existing data and identify opportunities for improvement whether it be on the process, technology or people front.

If all of the above has piqued your interest, be sure to stop by Booth 709, say hi to The Marlyn Group and pick up your complimentary copy, which includes a jump drive that contains the white paper itself and a metric calculator anyone can use back home after the conference. Our team will be on hand throughout the Expo to answer any questions you may have when it comes to the people management aspects of the business.
